Roadworks and rolling convoy on A4155 – Monday 18th – Friday 22nd November

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order – S14(1) & (7) Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Speed Limit of 10mph and “No Waiting” Restriction.

Prohibition of Waiting and 10mph Speed Limit.

At Shiplake, on the A4155 to allow Convoy Working in both directions.

From the junction with Memorial Avenue northwards to the junction with Bolney Lane.

Starting: Monday 18th November 2013 anticipated to take 5 days.

In the interests of public safety, it will be necessary for Oxfordshire County Council to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) to implement a “No Waiting” restriction and 10mph speed limit to facilitate structural patching using Convoy Working.

The “No Waiting” restriction means that vehicles will need to be removed from the highway where there are in place yellow “No Waiting” cones.

Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and also overnight access for those residents within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works.  Please note that access routes will depend on exactly where the works vehicles are at any time and may need to be negotiated with the gang on site as necessary.

A copy of the drawing showing the extent of the closure and also the alternative routes for traffic is here: PUBLICITY PLAN

Further information regarding the works may be obtained by contacting Bob Burgess, OCC Highways & Transport on 07730 803 089 or 0845 310 11 11.
