GILLOTTS LANE (HARPSDEN, HENLEY-ON-THAMES)
PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING BUILD-OUT& ROAD NARROWING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to construct
the following traffic calming measures under the Highways Act 1980 section 90 on the Gillotts Lane in Hapsden, Henley-on-Thames at the following location
▪Kerbed build-out (approx.8m long by 1m wide) on the northside of the carriageway approx.200metres south-east oft its junction with the exit to the Gillotts School.
The build out will reduce the width of the carriageway to 3.25metres (from 4.6metres) and will be accompanied by additional signs and lining improvements, and
priority will be given to traffic travelling north-westwards towards Greys Road
▪Road NarrowingCarriageway to be narrowed for approx. 45 metres between the public footpath ref.242/8/10 & access to Garden Cottage.
Reduced from average width of 4.5m to a uniform width of 3.25m, with associated kerbing & reflective bollardsintroduced, and priority will be given to traffic travelling northwestwards towards Greys Road.
All dimensions are approximate,and where necessary are taken from the centre ofthe
nearest junction to the centre of the specified feature.

Objections to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made and any
other representations should be sent in via the web address above (or by writing to the address below) no later than 29 May 2020
The County Council will considerobjections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
