NOTICE OF MAKING OF PUBLIC PATH

AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDERS

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

 

  1. The Oxfordshire County Council, Rotherfield Peppard Bridleway No. 14 (part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2024
  2. The Oxfordshire County Council, Sonning Common Bridleway No. 16, Public Path Creation and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2024

 

The Diversion Order made on 09 December 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting, as shown on the Order map:-

 

Rotherfield Peppard BR14 running from OS Grid Ref SU 7174 south-south-westwards for 236m to SU 7162 8060, south-eastwards for 25m to SU 7163 8058, and southwards for 65m to SU 7162 8053 to a new line (renumbered as Sonning Common BR15) running from its junction with Bridleway No 14 Rotherfield Peppard at the Parish boundary at OS Grid Ref SU 7174 8081 south-eastwards for 83m to the Harpsden Parish boundary at SU 7176 8072 where it crosses into Harpsden Parish (and is numbered as Harpsden BR28) for 35m to the Sonning Common Parish boundary at SU 7176 8069, and then continues south-south-westwards for 143m to the junction with Sonning Common BR16 at SU 7170 8056, south-westwards for 65m to SU 7165 8052 and westwards for 31m to Blounts Court Road at the Rotherfield Peppard Parish boundary at SU 7162 8053.

 

The Creation Order made on 09 December 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding, as shown on the Order map:-

 

Sonning Common BR16 running from Sonning Common BR15 at OS Grid Ref SU 7170 8056 south-eastwards for 127m to SU 7177 8045 and southwards for 17m to Blounts Court Road at SU 7177 8043, north-west of Sonning Common FP10.

Any representations about or objections to the Orders may be sent in writing to the Countryside Access – Research & Legal Record, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX1 1ND at countrysideaccesslegal@Oxfordshire.gov.uk no later than 31 January 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Oxfordshire County Council may confirm the Orders as unopposed Orders. If the Orders are sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Orders. The notice period has been extended from 28 to 42 days to allow for the Christmas period.
